EurOcean members have a wealth of knowledge on trans-national access to marine research infratructures
Discussion document on EurOcean organised event on marine research infrastructures now available for consultation.

A discussion document has now been published on the open event organised by EurOcean towards the end of last year, which focussed on identifying the state of play and future trends in relation to activities promoting improved knowledge of and transnational access to Europe´s marine infrastructure. Some of the conclusions reached are that EurOcean members have significant experience of Trans-National Access (TNA) implementation in relation to the European Research Framework Programmes and can propose improvements in the context of FP9. Moreover, good-practise on regional collaboration is available from initiatives such as BONUS. The ERVO group is a key European source of knowledge on all aspects of Research Vessels and can make a valuable contribution to the advancement of the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS). EurOcean itself, is streamlining its Research Infrastructures Database, which already holds information on over 900 research infrastructures, in order to improve its support of activities related to marine infrastructure knowledge and use. Check out video recordings of all the presentations and consult the full report, detailing these conclusions and more.
