The project developed a strategic policy and research recommendations document in scope of the 4 challenges identified by the project. This document addresses policy formulation and implementation issues in each identified challenge and the implications of each identified challenge in terms of research gaps, priorities and joint strategies, through the development of policy and research recommendations. The Strategic Policy and Research Recommendations were delivered in March 2016. |

The policy recommendations were developed through a trans-regional and multi-stakeholder dialogue and contain recommendations for policy makers at local, regional, national and European level. The research recommendations were developed by multidisciplinary workgroups of stakeholders and experts from all the regions and feed forthcoming research calls, and future joint activities. |
